ABOUT LUCAN BACONFEST
Baconfest is a town-wide community collaboration celebrating EVERYTHING BACON & BIKES in a family friendly atmosphere! The free event was originally a small gathering of 400 motorcycle enthusiasts, but has grown rapidly and draws over 25,000+ people in 4 short years. Rapid growth has dictated a partially paid event, to assist with event sustainability. The annual event draws motorcycle and bacon enthusiasts, spectators and tourists to create a unique, positive tourism experience and increases both tourism visitation and visitor spending to Lucan and its surrounding communities. Motorcycle riders believe time spent on their bike is valuable and they aren’t afraid to spend more money at their destination for enjoyment. Baconfest is a unique platform to draw awareness of Lucan, and highlight it as a tourist destination in Southwestern Ontario. Baconfest is quickly growing to be one of Southwestern Ontario’s largest, unique single-day draw attractions for rural Ontario
