We have sad news to report this afternoon.

Daniel Di Giacomo of River Town Saints has passed away.

I’m friggin’ heartbroken.

Our entire country music family in Canada is reeling from the news.

Our hearts are broken and in shock today hearing of Dan’s passing. He was a radiant soul, and really impacted whoever he came in contact with. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with all whom this has impacted, and we are sending our deepest condolences to the family, and our River Town Brothers today. #Repost @rivertownsaints ・・・ Heaven gained the world's funniest bass player today. As some of you may have already heard, Dan passed away last night unexpectedly. We're all in shock, and trying to figure out the next steps as we go. Many of you have reached out with kind words and prayers and we can't tell you how much this means to his family, and us – his band family. Anyone who had ever met Dan for more than 2 seconds knew that he was the funniest, wittiest and most genuine dude on earth. A heart of gold, wicked sense of humour, and killer hip-hop cred. To say we will miss him is beyond an understatement. Obviously we ask for privacy for Dan's family at this time. Over the coming hours and days, we'll provide updates here regarding a GoFundMe campaign that we'll be setting up to help his family with funeral costs. We'll see you again brother – until then, keep holding down the low end up there. Love RTS.

Today is one of those days that just stops you in your tracks. Our @ccmaofficial community lost one of our own today. Dan, you were such a light. I will forever remember your spot-on Obama impression and how you loved my ridiculous Trump impression and how we would crack each other up bantering back and forth, in our characters. Yours was better than mine. I'm still in shock and as @timhicksmusic put it best, I feel completely gutted. You just never know. Yesterday I was stressing over some shit and today, life has coldly reminded me of just how precious and fleeting it is. This picture was taken last June at my 6th Annual @jasonblainecharity event of which @rivertownsaints had been a huge hit, year after year, even doing a private back yard event and helping us raise a ton of money last summer. That was Dans heart. We had such a great time and so many laughs and will miss him dearly. Until we meet again brother. 🙏

Friends and family of Dan have started a Go Fund Me page to cover funeral expenses.  Being an up-and-coming musician doesn’t pay all the bills, as many of us know all too well.

Click here if you’re able to help.

I dug up an old visit from River Town Saints.  Watch it, if you’re able to.
