Hope In The City – A Story of Truth and Reconciliation

The establishment of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada was a consequence of the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement, the largest class-action settlement in Canadian history.

The Salvation Army is committed to reconciliation, not as an external imposition, but out of our own deeply held convictions arising from our reading of the Scriptures

What is The Salvation Army in Canada doing about this?

The Salvation Army leads the way as the first religious denomination to actively travel on this journey of reconciliation and bring forward its efforts to increase accessibility, build trust, raise awareness, educate and develop leadership and create women’s equality.

Join us on Friday, November 16 2018 at the Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn and Conference Centre as we present our 7th Annual Hope in the City Breakfast.

Keynote Speaker Bob Rae, former premier of Ontario and interim Federal Party Leader, will bring his message of advocacy for the rights of Indigenous people of Canada.
