It’s Gettin’ HOT in here!
From the people who bring awesome events to town like London Comic Con, Shock Stock and Rock’n’Con comes the Heatwave Hot Sauce Expo! Heatwave makes its debut Saturday March 2nd, 2019 at Centennial Hall in London, Ontario, Canada.
Heatwave Hot Sauce Expo is Southwestern Ontario’s home of heat where those in attendance will be able to enjoy sampling hot sauces and spicy foods from over 40 international acclaimed and independent producers of fine food. Included in the vendor line-up is the famous Dawson’s Hot Sauce from Hamilton Ontario which became known around the world when actress Charlize Theron boasted about its flavour during her appearance on the popular Youtube show Hot Ones which is a show that interviews celebrities whist eating very hot wings to produce outrageous results.
All vendors will be giving attendees FREE samples of their sauces on provided pita, nachos or pretzel. Attendees can choose to up the ante with the purchase of meaty chicken wings. They can take those wings around the show floor to sauce them up from the hundreds of hot sauce varieties that will be available from the Heatwave vendors.
For those who consider themselves to be seasoned fire eaters can put their taste buds to the test in either of Chile Pepper Eating Competition or our Hot Wing Eating Competition. Contestants will win prizes and major bragging rights as the person who can handle the hottest peppers on the Scolville scale of heat.
To give the event a little added flare fans attending can expect a totally unique experience, with an 80s themed motif and atmosphere on the show floor. Also scheduled are cooking and food demonstrations, Heatwave Hot Sauce Awards and a World Record pepper eating attempt. The event will be fully licensed with craft beer on tap and fiery spirits to help you build up the nerve to try the hottest Reaper pepper sauce know to humankind!

With celebrity endorsements and popular Youtube shows strictly centered around hot sauce we knew it deserved its own event to cater to those who love to put hot sauce on everything.’ said Andrew Kitt, lead organizer for Heatwave and president of London Comic Con.
Heatwave Hot Sauce Expo officially goes live to the public on Monday December 3rd with tickets to the Expo starting at just $7.00.
Vendors are just as excited for the show with many producers travelling great lengths to be part of the excitement. Some featured hot sauces you will see at Heatwave are Dawson’s Hot Sauce (Hamilton, ON), Maritime Madness (Cardigan, PEI), Jak Jeckel Pepper Sauce (Holly, MI, USA), Tata Hot Sauce Emporium (Toronto ON), Mad Gringo (Williamswood, NS), Haico’s Hot Sauce (Ottawa, ON) plus many more.
All vendors will be participating for the Heatwave Award which recognizes the best hot sauce at the show. The winner not only gets major bragging rights but will also be eligible for a distribution deal
